Your visa length is your membership length

Vietnam has no dedicated digital nomad visa. What almost everyone actually uses is the 90-day e-visa, applied for online for around $50, and that single administrative fact quietly determines the whole gym decision. Nomad stays in Da Nang cluster at four weeks, eight weeks and twelve weeks because that is how the visa cuts the calendar, not because of anything about training.

Which means the useful question is not "which gym is best", it is "what should I buy for the exact number of weeks I am here". Those are different questions with different answers, and the second one has actual arithmetic behind it.

Length of stay What to buy at Evolve Cost Why
1 to 2 weeks
a scouting trip
Free first visit, then day passes or one weekly pass 0₫ to 490,000₫ Below four sessions a week, day passes win. At four or more, the week wins.
4 weeks
the short stay
Four weekly passes or one month, they are effectively the same 1,960,000₫ vs 1,990,000₫ A 30,000₫ gap over a month. Choose on flexibility, not price.
8 weeks
the half-visa stay
Two rolling one-month memberships 3,980,000₫ Cheaper than the 3-month term at 4,470,000₫, and you keep the exit.
12 weeks
the full e-visa
The 3-month term 4,470,000₫
(1,490,000₫ / mo)
Saves 1,500,000₫ against three rolling months, and includes one PT strategy session per month.

Evolve's published rates, current 11 August 2026. Rounded to whole passes. The same shape of arithmetic applies at any gym, so substitute the numbers of wherever you end up. For the full break-even table across day, weekly and monthly options, see our day pass guide.

The one number worth memorising: the eight-week stay is the trap. It is long enough to feel like you should commit to a term, and short enough that committing costs you 490,000₫ more than not committing. If you are here for two months, buy two months.

Who actually lets you leave

Da Nang is unusually good on this compared to most nomad hubs, but "flexible" means different things at different gyms, and the difference matters when your plans change in week three.

Evolve's terms are our own. Others are from the gyms' published rate cards and Da Nang gym guides, checked 11 August 2026. Vietnamese gym pricing changes often, so confirm before paying, and ask by message so the quote is in writing.

The hours problem nobody warns you about

This is the thing that catches people out in their first fortnight. Most gyms in Da Nang close between 8 PM and 9 PM. Not late-ish. Actually shut, lights off, at 8:30 PM.

For someone with a fixed local job that is a mild inconvenience. For a nomad working across time zones it can make a gym unusable, because the Vietnamese evening is exactly when the rest of your working world wakes up. Vietnam runs at UTC+7. A 9 AM start in London lands at 3 PM here. A 9 AM start on the US east coast lands at 8 PM here, and a west coast morning lands close to midnight.

Hours from the gyms' published schedules and Da Nang gym guides, checked 11 August 2026. Time zone offsets are for Vietnam at UTC+7, which does not observe daylight saving, so the gap to Europe and North America shifts by an hour twice a year.

The practical conclusion is blunt. If you work US hours, four gyms in Da Nang can serve you and the rest cannot, regardless of how good they are. Mobifit360 is the only genuine 24/7 option in the beach districts, The New Gym runs 24 hours over in Hải Châu, and Evolve and Vinabeast close at midnight. Everything else has shut before your day ends.

Where you cowork decides where you train

Da Nang's remote work scene is geographically tight. An Thượng, the six to eight block expat core just west of Mỹ Khê Beach, holds the highest density of cafés, coworking and international restaurants in the city, and the beachfront coworking runs along Mỹ Khê just north and east of it. Almost every nomad here works within about two kilometres of that cluster.

Which is genuinely useful, because it means you can pick a gym on the same axis as your desk and never make a dedicated trip.

Coworking locations from published Da Nang nomad guides and the spaces' own listings, checked 11 August 2026. Coworking day passes in Da Nang are commonly reported at around $4 to $6 with monthly memberships around $50 to $100, but rates move and we have not verified individual price cards, so treat those as context rather than quotes.

Working from the gym, and why you should not

A fair question, asked often: can you take a call from the gym? Honest answer: no Da Nang gym we are aware of publishes a wifi specification, and none of them, ours included, are designed as a place to open a laptop. Most have wifi at reception. None of that is a plan.

The setup that actually works here is boring and reliable. Use Vietnamese mobile data, which is cheap and near-universal, as your fallback for anything that matters. Do your real work at a desk, and put training in the gap that your time zone leaves open, which for most nomads is either late morning or late evening. Trying to compress work and training into one room is how both get done badly.

The genuinely useful nomad habit in this city: book training into the same hour that your clients are asleep, and defend it. In Da Nang that hour is usually 10 AM or 10 PM, and it is the only part of your day nobody in another time zone can take from you.

Air conditioning matters more on a short stay, not less

A common nomad mistake is treating AC as a luxury you can skip because you are only here for a few weeks. The logic runs backwards. On a twelve-month membership you can afford to lose July. On an eight-week stay, losing two weeks to heat is a quarter of your entire training block.

Da Nang holds 33 to 34.5°C in July and August with humidity between roughly 79% and 89% all year, and the hot season pushes past 37°C. Most gyms here run industrial fans and open shutters rather than air conditioning. If your stay lands between May and September, the AC grading is the first filter to apply and everything else comes second. Our verified AC guide grades each gym individually rather than repeating the "confirm on arrival" line every other list uses.

If you are here between roughly December and February, this matters far less and a fan-cooled neighbourhood gym at a quarter of the price is a perfectly rational choice for a short stay.

Where Evolve fits, honestly

We run Evolve, so weigh this accordingly. Evolve is at 14 Hồ Xuân Hương, Khuê Mỹ, Ngũ Hành Sơn, minutes from Mỹ Khê Beach and walkable from parts of An Thượng, open daily 8 AM to midnight on an enclosed, air-conditioned floor. It opened in 2026 and is built as a club for entrepreneurs, creators and people who work for themselves, which is roughly the same population as this page's readers.

For a stay-length decision, the relevant numbers are: free first visit, then 150,000₫ a day, 490,000₫ a week, 1,990,000₫ for a month with no lock-in, and 1,490,000₫ a month on a three-month term that fits a 90-day e-visa exactly.

Choose Evolve if

  • You train in the evening. Open to midnight, when most of the city closed three hours earlier.
  • You are here for the full 90 days. The 3-month term is the cheapest way to buy a whole e-visa of training here.
  • Your stay lands in the hot season. Enclosed, air-conditioned floor, which is not the norm in Da Nang.
  • You want to commit to nothing. The 490,000₫ week and the no-lock-in month exist for exactly this.
  • You are based in An Thượng, Mỹ Khê or Khuê Mỹ. No river crossing, no cross-city ride after a full day of calls.

Choose something else if

  • Your schedule is genuinely irregular. Mobifit360 is 24/7 and sells 2 to 7 visits a week in blocks from two weeks. For a chaotic calendar that is a better product than ours and it is four doors away.
  • You train at 4 AM after US calls. We close at midnight. Mobifit360 and The New Gym do not.
  • You want to meet people fast. CrossFit Lotus is class-based and in English, which builds a circle in weeks. An open weight room will not.
  • You are here two weeks or less. Take the free first visit, buy day passes, and skip the membership question entirely.
  • You are on a tight budget. Fan-cooled neighbourhood gyms run 20,000₫ to 100,000₫ a day. In the cooler months that is a smart trade.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best gym in Da Nang for digital nomads?

It depends on how regular your schedule is. If your hours move around because of client time zones, Mobifit360 at 4-6 Hồ Xuân Hương is the strongest option here: open 24/7, air-conditioned, and sold in blocks of 2 to 48 weeks with 2 to 7 visits a week, so you buy a shape that matches your stay. If you train in the evening and want a cold, enclosed floor, Evolve on the same street runs 8 AM to midnight with a 1,990,000₫ no-lock-in month. If you want people to train with, CrossFit Lotus is the class-based option, in English.

Can I get a gym membership in Da Nang for one month with no contract?

Yes, and Da Nang is unusually easy on this. Evolve sells a one-month membership at 1,990,000₫ month to month with no lock-in, plus a 490,000₫ weekly pass. Mobifit360 sells blocks from two weeks upward. CrossFit Lotus lists a monthly membership with no notice required to cancel. No Limits publishes a 700,000₫ two-week option. Lock-in contracts of the kind common in Western markets are rare here.

What gym membership should I buy for a 90-day stay in Da Nang?

A three-month term, where the gym offers one, because a 90-day e-visa and a 3-month gym term are the same length. At Evolve's rates, three rolling one-month memberships cost 5,970,000₫ while the 3-month term costs 4,470,000₫, a 1,500,000₫ saving, and the term includes one PT strategy session per month. For eight weeks or less the opposite holds: two rolling months at 3,980,000₫ beat the 3-month term.

Which gyms in Da Nang are near the coworking spaces?

The coworking cluster sits in An Thượng and along Mỹ Khê. TamTayGym at 11 An Thượng 3 is inside the An Thượng block, walking distance from Hana Coworking on Ngô Thị Sỹ. Evolve, Mobifit360 and CrossFit Lotus sit together on Hồ Xuân Hương, a short ride south of Enouvo and the Mỹ Khê beachfront spaces. Vinabeast is further north in Phước Mỹ and suits the northern beach strip.

Which gyms in Da Nang are open late or 24 hours?

Very few, and it is the biggest constraint on anyone working across time zones. Most Da Nang gyms close between 8 PM and 9 PM. Mobifit360 is open 24/7 and The New Gym in Hải Châu is open 24 hours. Evolve and Vinabeast both run to midnight. If you take US calls in the Vietnamese evening or the small hours, that list is your entire market.

Do gyms in Da Nang have wifi you can work from?

Assume not, and do not plan around it. Da Nang gyms do not generally publish wifi specifications and none are designed for laptop work. Most have wifi at reception. Use Vietnamese mobile data as your fallback for anything that matters, treat the coworking space as where you work and the gym as where you do not, and train the gap between calls.
