Da Nang gym membership prices, compared

Monthly rates across the market, cheapest first. The AC column is graded the same way as our verified AC guide: verified where the gym states it and independent guides agree, reported where guides list it but whole-floor coverage is unconfirmed, disputed where published sources contradict each other, and fan-cooled where sources agree there is no meaningful AC.

Evolve's rates are our own and current. Everything else comes from the gyms' own price pages or from published Da Nang gym guides, checked 11 August 2026. Published figures sometimes disagree with each other, particularly on longer terms, and several gyms quote different prices at different branches. Vietnamese gym pricing changes often. Treat this as a shortlist and confirm at the desk before paying.

The three price tiers, and what actually changes between them

220,000₫ to 600,000₫: the neighbourhood tier

Real gyms with real weights, often four floors of them, and genuinely good value if you live nearby. What you almost never get is air conditioning. You also usually lose late hours, since this tier mostly closes between 8 PM and 9 PM, and free drinking water, which several guides flag as absent at this price. Between December and February none of that matters much. In July it decides whether you keep going.

800,000₫ to 1,400,000₫: the middle

Better maintained, usually busier, and this is where cooling starts appearing, though frequently only in some zones. It is also the widest band for disagreement between sources, which tells you something in itself. If you are buying here, the value of a day pass first is at its highest, because the thing you are paying extra for may or may not reach the part of the gym you use.

1,000,000₫ to 2,100,000₫: the conditioned tier

Properly cooled training floors, newer equipment, and usually longer hours. This is where Evolve, Mobifit360, Vinabeast and Elite Fitness sit. The jump from the neighbourhood tier is roughly four to nine times, which is a lot, and it is worth being clear-eyed that most of that money buys climate control and hours rather than better dumbbells.

What actually drives gym prices in Da Nang

1. Air conditioning, ahead of everything else

Da Nang sits at 33 to 34.5°C in July and August with humidity between roughly 79% and 89%. A training floor full of people generates heat continuously, so cooling it properly means a system sized well past a few wall units, running through every opening hour, in a country where electricity is the gym's largest controllable cost. That is the whole explanation for the four-to-nine-times gap between a fan-cooled gym and a conditioned one. Everything else on this list is a rounding error next to it.

2. Opening hours

Most Da Nang gyms close between 8 PM and 9 PM. Staying open late, or 24/7, means staffing, security and cooling through hours that generate little revenue. The gyms that run to midnight or around the clock (Evolve, Vinabeast, Mobifit360, The New Gym) are disproportionately in the upper price bands, and that is not a coincidence.

3. Contract length

The largest discount available to you, and entirely in your control. Committing for twelve months rather than one typically cuts the monthly rate by a third to a half. At Evolve it is exactly half.

4. How often you train, and when

This one surprises people arriving from Western markets, where a membership means unlimited access by default. In Da Nang it often does not. Mobifit360 prices a four-week membership by both visits per week and time of day, and the published grid runs from 621,000₫ for two visits a week during 7 AM to 4 PM up to 2,608,000₫ for seven visits a week with 24-hour access. That is a 4x spread inside one gym at one duration. If you are comparing a headline price against another gym's, check you are comparing the same access.

5. Equipment age, and location a distant last

Newer gyms cost more, largely because the equipment and the cooling have not yet degraded. Location matters far less than you would expect: some of the cheapest gyms in the city are in the beach districts, and some of the most expensive are inland in Thanh Khê. In a city this size, price is set by what the room does, not where the room is.

The comparison people get wrong: a 550,000₫ gym and a 1,990,000₫ gym are not the same product at different prices. One is a set of weights in a hot room until 8 PM. The other is a cooled room open until midnight. Decide which of those you are buying before you decide whether it is expensive.

Contract length: the one lever that actually saves money

Every gym here that publishes a ladder rewards commitment steeply. Three published examples:

Evolve figures are our own. No Limits and The New Gym figures come from published Da Nang gym guides and may be out of date, and published figures for No Limits' three-month term vary between sources. The New Gym does not sell single months, which is why the comparison stops there.

Two things worth saying plainly. First, the discount is real but it is not free: you are buying a year of a gym you have used for one week, in a city where a lot of people's plans change at three months. Ask what happens if you leave, and whether the term can be paused. Evolve's twelve-month term allows one month of pause, and Mobifit360 publishes a first hold free, then 200,000₫. Many gyms publish nothing at all, which is itself an answer.

Second, if you are here for four weeks or fewer, the ladder is irrelevant. At Evolve, four consecutive weekly passes cost 1,960,000₫ against 1,990,000₫ for a month, so the two are effectively identical and you should choose on flexibility. Below that, the maths is in our day pass guide, which covers drop-in prices across 20 gyms and the exact break-even points.

The total cost of training, not just the membership

The membership is usually 60 to 80% of what training here actually costs you. The rest:

Personal training

Almost nobody in Da Nang publishes a PT rate. The clearest published figure we found is Mobifit360 at 500,000₫ per session for members and 600,000₫ for non-members. Most other gyms, including the premium chains, quote on request based on your goal and frequency. Some memberships include coaching rather than charging for it: at Evolve, a one-month membership includes one complimentary PT session, and the three-month and twelve-month terms include one PT strategy session per month.

When you get a quote, ask explicitly whether it is per session or per package. Vietnamese fitness listings conflate the two constantly, and package prices quoted as session prices are the single most common reason people think PT here is wildly expensive.

Recovery and add-ons

Frequently priced separately, and worth checking before you assume they are included. Mobifit360 publishes sauna free for members and 200,000₫ per session for non-members, ice bath at 150,000₫ for members and 200,000₫ for non-members, and therapy stretching at 500,000₫ for members and 600,000₫ for non-members. Elite Fitness includes a pool, sauna, cold tub and hot tub in its premium tier.

Fees that do not appear on the price list

Getting there

The quietest cost of all. A gym 20 minutes away that you skip twice a week is more expensive per session than a gym at twice the price around the corner. Free motorbike parking is standard at Da Nang gyms and is worth confirming rather than assuming.

Foreigner pricing, and how to handle it

Higher prices quoted to foreigners are reported at some Da Nang gyms, including No Limits Fitness & Yoga. It is not universal, and gyms with a full published price list generally charge one rate to everyone.

The defence is simple and not confrontational. Ask for the price by message before you go, so you have it in writing, and compare it against the gym's own published rate card if one exists. If a gym publishes prices online, quote them the page. If it does not, ask for the monthly rate, the term rates and what is included, all in one message. Anyone who answers that clearly is unlikely to be quoting you a different number at the desk.

What Evolve charges, and what is in it

For transparency, since we have opinions about everyone else's pricing on this page. These are our current rates.

Weekly pass 490,000₫ 7 days, unlimited
1 month 1,990,000₫ Unlimited access, 1 complimentary PT session
3 months 1,490,000₫ / month
(4,470,000₫ total)
Unlimited access, 1 PT strategy session per month
12 months 990,000₫ / month
(11,880,000₫ total)
Unlimited access, 1 PT strategy session per month, 1 month pause

Unlimited means unlimited: no visit caps, no time bands, daily 8 AM to midnight. We are not the cheapest gym in Da Nang and we are not trying to be. If lowest cost is the goal, the neighbourhood tier at the top of this page starts around 220,000₫ a month and those are real gyms. What we sell above that price is a fully enclosed air-conditioned floor, a 2026 build, coaching, and hours that run to midnight.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a gym membership cost in Da Nang?

Between roughly 220,000₫ and 2,100,000₫ per month in 2026. Budget and fan-cooled neighbourhood gyms run about 220,000₫ to 600,000₫ a month. Mid-range gyms run 800,000₫ to 1,400,000₫. Air-conditioned premium gyms run 1,000,000₫ to 2,100,000₫. Evolve charges 1,990,000₫ for one month, 1,490,000₫ per month on a three-month term and 990,000₫ per month on a twelve-month term.

What is the cheapest gym in Da Nang?

Star Gym in Bắc Mỹ An is the cheapest monthly rate we can document, at around 220,000₫ a month, followed by HL Fitness in Hải Châu at around 250,000₫ and Naomi Gym in Khuê Mỹ at around 300,000₫. Kiến Gym in Hải Châu has the cheapest documented day pass in the city at 20,000₫. All of these are fan-cooled rather than air-conditioned, which is precisely why they are cheap.

Why are air-conditioned gyms in Da Nang so much more expensive?

Because cooling a gym in this climate is genuinely expensive to run. Da Nang sits at 33 to 34.5°C in July and August with humidity between 79% and 89%, and a training floor full of people generates heat continuously, so the system has to be sized well beyond a few wall units and run through all opening hours. Air conditioning is the single biggest driver of gym price in Da Nang, ahead of equipment, location and brand. Fan-cooled gyms start around 220,000₫ a month while air-conditioned ones start around 1,000,000₫, a gap of roughly four to nine times.

How much does a personal trainer cost in Da Nang?

Most Da Nang gyms do not publish personal training rates and quote on request. The clearest published rate we found is Mobifit360, at 500,000₫ per session for members and 600,000₫ per session for non-members. Some memberships include coaching instead of charging for it: Evolve includes one complimentary PT session on a one-month membership and one PT strategy session per month on three-month and twelve-month terms. Always ask whether a quoted price is per session or per package, since the two get conflated in listings.

Do gyms in Da Nang charge foreigners more than locals?

It is reported at some gyms, including No Limits Fitness & Yoga, though it is not universal and the larger gyms with published price lists generally charge one rate. The practical defence is to ask for the price in writing before you train or sign, ideally by message so you have a record, and to compare it against the gym's own published rate card where one exists. Gyms that publish a full online price list, such as Mobifit360 and Evolve, remove the question entirely.

What hidden costs come with a Da Nang gym membership?

The main ones are freeze and transfer fees, add-on services and access restrictions. Mobifit360 publishes a 200,000₫ fee for a second membership hold, with the first free, and a transfer fee of 10% of the membership price, and prices sauna and ice bath separately for non-members. Some memberships also cap visits per week or restrict you to a time band, so the headline price is not for unlimited access. Permanent locker rental and class no-show fees are reported at Vietnamese city gyms more broadly. Ask three questions before paying: is access unlimited, what does it cost to pause, and what is charged separately.

Do the maths on a free visit

Before you compare price lists, compare rooms. Your first visit at Evolve costs nothing, and it is the only way to know what the extra money actually buys.
