Choose the gym that matches how you actually train

Comparison pages usually end with the author's gym winning every category. That is not useful to you and it is not true here. No Limits is a well-regarded, long-established gym with a genuinely broader offer than ours, and there are several specific situations where it is the better choice.

Choose No Limits if

  • You live in Sơn Trà, around An Hải, Phước Mỹ or the northern beach stretch. Proximity beats everything else on this page.
  • You train before 8 AM. They open at 5 AM. We do not open until 8, and no amount of positioning fixes that for an early riser.
  • You want yoga or group classes. They run a separate yoga studio plus reported kickboxing, group fitness, stretching and kids classes. Evolve runs none of these. Not fewer. None.
  • The annual price is what matters. Their 12 months is reported at 8,600,000₫ against our 11,880,000₫. Over a year that is a real gap and we are not going to talk you out of it.
  • You want a sauna and a bigger amenity list. Sauna, showers, free Wi-Fi, free parking and a protein bar are all reported on site. We have no sauna.
  • You want a women-only yoga option. A women-only yoga membership is reported as available, which is a specific need we cannot meet at all.

Choose Evolve if

  • You live in Ngũ Hành Sơn, around Khuê Mỹ, An Thượng or southern Mỹ Khê. We are at 14 Hồ Xuân Hương.
  • You train in the evening. No Limits closes at 8:30 PM. We are open until midnight, which matters if your day does not end at 6 PM.
  • You want air conditioning you do not have to check. Evolve is a fully enclosed conditioned floor. The AC status at No Limits is genuinely unclear in published sources, which we cover honestly below.
  • You want coaching inside the price. Our 3 and 12-month terms include 1 PT strategy session per month.
  • You want one published rate card. Ours is on the site and it is the same number for everybody. Reported No Limits prices vary a lot between guides.
  • You want the newer of the two rooms. We opened in 2026, which is the honest reason our floor and AC are in the condition they are.

Evolve figures are our own and current. No Limits figures are drawn from published Da Nang gym guides and listings rather than from their own rate card, which is why they are marked reported and why several rows carry two different numbers. Checked 11 August 2026. Confirm directly before paying. Some reviewers also report that quoted rates differ for foreigners and locals, which may explain part of the spread.

Location: the factor that actually decides it

Everything else on this page is a rounding error next to this. No Limits sits on Nguyễn Công Trứ in An Hải, Sơn Trà, toward the northern end of the beach strip. Evolve is in Khuê Mỹ in Ngũ Hành Sơn, toward the southern end, close to An Thượng and southern Mỹ Khê.

That is roughly 15 to 20 minutes apart on a bike, more in rain or traffic. It does not sound like much until you have done it in the dark after a long day, three times a week, in August. The gym you go to is the gym you can get to. If one of these is ten minutes from your apartment and the other is thirty, stop reading and pick the near one.

Air conditioning: verified at ours, unresolved at theirs

Air conditioning is the single most common reason people switch gyms in Da Nang. July and August run 33 to 34.5°C with humidity between roughly 79% and 89%, and the hot season pushes past 37°C. Most gyms in this city run on fans and open shutters.

Evolve is a fully enclosed air-conditioned floor. That part we can state as fact because it is ours.

No Limits is where we have to be careful. Published sources disagree with each other. One well-known Da Nang gym guide describes the space as having an open, factory-style feel with fans and good air circulation, which reads as a description of a gym without air conditioning. Other listings praise the space as clean, bright and comfortable without addressing cooling at all. We have not found a clear statement from No Limits themselves.

So we are marking it unverified, not absent. It would be easy for us to write "they do not have AC" and let you assume the worst about a competitor. We do not know that, and we are not going to assert it. Buildings get retrofitted, guides go out of date, and a factory-style room can still be cooled.

We are not going to pretend to have measured a competitor's thermostat. No Limits sells a day pass reported at 150,000₫ and your first visit here is free. Go to each at 6 PM on a hot day, do a real working set, and you will have better information than any article can give you, including this one.

Equipment and classes, and why we are not claiming an equipment win

We have not published a full equipment inventory with brands and counts, so declaring ourselves the winner on kit in an article we wrote would be worthless to you. What we can say factually is that Evolve opened in 2026 and the floor is built around strength and free weight training in one enclosed conditioned room.

No Limits is reported as running benches, free weights, cardio and machines organised by muscle group on the ground floor, with a functional training area, a class studio and a caged area for MMA above. That is a broader footprint than ours.

The bigger difference is not equipment at all, it is classes. No Limits is a gym and a yoga studio. Evolve is only a gym. They are reported to run yoga at several levels in a separate studio, plus kickboxing, group fitness, stretching and kids classes, and a women-only yoga membership is reported as available. We run none of that and have no plans presented here to. If a timetable of classes is part of what you want from a membership, this comparison is already over and No Limits wins it.

Hours: they own the morning, we own the evening

No Limits is open 5 AM to 8:30 PM. Evolve is open 8 AM to midnight. This is one of the cleanest trade-offs on the page, because it is not a matter of degree.

If you train at dawn, go to No Limits. Three hours before we open is decisive and it belongs entirely to them. There is no argument we can make that gets a 6 AM lifter into our building.

If you train late, they are closed. An 8:30 PM close is actually typical for Da Nang, where most gyms shut between 8 PM and 9 PM. Our midnight close is the unusual one, and it is the reason a lot of people with evening jobs, night shifts or late dinners end up here.

Price: they are cheaper over a year, and that is worth saying plainly

On day passes the two are level at a reported 150,000₫, except that your first visit to Evolve is free, so the first session costs you nothing here.

On short commitments we are close. Our weekly is 490,000₫ against a reported 500,000₫ for a week at No Limits, and their two-week option is reported at 700,000₫. If you are in Da Nang for a fortnight, price should not decide this. Pick on location.

On long terms, No Limits is cheaper and we are not going to spin that. Their 12 months is reported at 8,600,000₫ against our 11,880,000₫, a difference of roughly 3,280,000₫ over a year. Their monthly is reported between about 1,000,000₫ and 1,400,000₫ against our 1,990,000₫. If your decision is a straight cost comparison for a year of gym access, they win it.

Two honest caveats, neither of which cancels that. First, reported No Limits figures vary widely between published guides, with the same tiers appearing at meaningfully different numbers, and some reviewers report being quoted different rates as foreigners than locals. Get your own quote in writing. Second, what our 12-month price includes is different: 1 PT strategy session per month and 1 month of pause. Whether that is worth the gap is a judgement about how much structured coaching is worth to you, not a fact we can settle for you.

The dimension nobody can honestly rank: crowds

You will see gym comparisons confidently rank how busy places are. Almost none of that is measured. We do not have reliable data on peak-hour density at No Limits and we are not going to invent it.

What is generally true across Da Nang is that 5 PM to 8 PM is the busiest window everywhere. One structural note worth having: because No Limits closes at 8:30 PM, its evening traffic is compressed into a narrower window than ours, while our late hours spread the same demand over more of the night. That is an inference from the opening times, not a measurement, and you should treat it as such. If crowding is a real concern, visit both at 6:30 PM on a weekday.

Frequently asked questions

Is Evolve or No Limits better in Da Nang?

Neither outright, and for most people the deciding factor is which side of the city you live on. No Limits is at 233 Nguyễn Công Trứ in An Hải, Sơn Trà, in the north. Evolve is in Khuê Mỹ, Ngũ Hành Sơn, in the south, roughly 15 to 20 minutes apart. Choose No Limits for a 5 AM opening, yoga and classes, a sauna and cheaper long-term membership. Choose Evolve for a verified enclosed air-conditioned floor, opening until midnight, coaching included in longer terms, and a free first visit.

Does No Limits Fitness and Yoga have air conditioning?

We could not verify it, and published sources disagree. At least one Da Nang gym guide describes an open, factory-style space with fans and good airflow rather than AC, while other listings do not address cooling either way. Because the sources conflict, we treat it as unverified rather than asserting it is absent. Evolve is a fully enclosed conditioned floor. If cold air is your priority, ask them directly or visit on a hot afternoon.

Which is cheaper, Evolve or No Limits?

No Limits, on long terms. Their 12 months is reported at 8,600,000₫ against our 11,880,000₫, and their monthly is reported between roughly 1,000,000₫ and 1,400,000₫ against our 1,990,000₫. Day passes are 150,000₫ at both, though your first visit here is free. Reported No Limits figures vary widely between guides and some reviewers report different rates for foreigners, so get your quote in writing.

What are the opening hours at Evolve and No Limits?

No Limits is open daily 5 AM to 8:30 PM. Evolve is open daily 8 AM to midnight. They own the early morning by three hours, we own the evening by three and a half. Most Da Nang gyms close between 8 PM and 9 PM, so their hours are typical for the city and ours are the unusual ones.

Does No Limits offer yoga and classes?

Yes. They run a separate yoga studio alongside the gym floor, with reported classes across yoga, kickboxing, group fitness, stretching and kids fitness, plus a women-only yoga membership option. Evolve runs no group classes and no yoga at all. If classes are part of what you want, that is decisive for No Limits.

Can I try both gyms before committing?

Yes, and you should. No Limits sells a day pass reported at 150,000₫ and your first visit to Evolve is free, so about 150,000₫ total gets you a session at each. Given that the air conditioning question at No Limits is unresolved in published sources, an in-person visit on a hot afternoon is the only way to settle it properly.

Your first visit is free

Come at 6 PM, walk to the free weights, do a real set. Then go do the same at No Limits and pick whichever one you would actually keep going to.
